Since the 1950’s, a Tier One Automotive OEM supplier which bears a renowned family name has helped shape the evolution of today’s motorcar. With a commitment to maintain innovative products along with two generations of family management, the company has remained competitive for more than half a century.

In late 2010, the company decided that it was time to being reinvesting profits into expanding operations. This also included appointing industry seasoned professionals to contribute to their expansion plans.

Getting these people wasn’t easy to begin with explains Andrew, the EMEA Engineering Director. “Our Engineering Management team where typically receiving 25 CV’s and conducting 9 interviews per hire.” The business considered in continuing with its current recruitment method however quickly realised that the cost and the time they were wasting soon added up.

Humana showed Andrew that the most efficient way for them to recruit was to outsource their full candidate screening and selection process. Through implementing a comprehensive search and selection process, Humana where able to increase the interview to hire ratio to 0.5 as well as take out 42% of the cost per hire. “A one in two chance of an appointment offers a compelling recruitment alternative” says Andrew. Furthermore, “it meant our Engineering Managers had the time to do what they do best; run an engineering business.”

Thanks to Humana, the company not only had a more convenient way of recruiting but also reduced cost and improved efficiency. The company has continued plans to grow with even bigger ambitions for the coming years.
